FISHER DEBUTS ROSCOE

Gary Fisher Bicycles’ brand new model was unveiled in Colorado on July 18, just outside Durango. The perfect location was chosen for the 2009 Roscoe, which is a 14 cm travel trailbike. From the tires to the top, the bike is brand new. The rear suspension receives Treks ABP treatment (Active Breking Pivot), but it’s a Fox Racing Shocks for Fisher shock and fork that steal the show. ProPedal technology allows riders to adjust the platform height (four settings) on the Fox RP24 fork. Fishers 46mm offset is used in the fork, which is part of the bikes G2 geometry.
Fox Float has been modified to have the upper eyelet in the middle of the shock. This allows for an additional air volume camber on top. A Dual Rate Custom Valve is inside. Two critical elements set the DRCV technology apart from other air shocks are its Dual Rate Custom Valve (DRCV). Dual Rate Control Valve (seen above the shock) is a position-sensitive valve that opens the circuit at a predetermined point during shock travel. What does it do? You can give an air shock a spring curve similar to a coil-spring shock.
